Participate in student surveys

Complete your Module Review Surveys

Let us know how your modules are going through Module Review Surveys. These surveys are your opportunity to tell us what's going well and what could be improved, helping to enhance the academic experience for everyone. You’ll receive an email inviting you to complete your Module Review Surveys towards the end of your modules.

Join the Student Perspectives Group (SPG)

SPG is a diverse community of current students who engage in research activities (including focus groups and workshops) to help improve the student experience. Members choose what they want to participate in and there are regular prize draws for members to win prizes.

Speak to your Student Voice officers

You may see our Student Voice officers in and around campus from time to time. They’ll be there to discuss various topics related to your experience, gathering your feedback, and ensuring your voice is heard in the university's decision-making process.

Become a Student Representative

Student Representatives are the people who represent your academic interests and can change and improve your life at Salford. Student Representatives are coordinated by the Students’ Union.

Complete the National Student Survey (NSS) – final year undergraduates

A nationally recognised annual survey of final year undergraduates in the UK, the NSS is administered by an independent market research agency. The NSS gives you a chance to provide honest anonymous feedback on your student experience, which will be used to improve the student experience at Salford.

The NSS runs from February to April each year, and you’ll receive an email inviting you to participate.

 

Postgraduate taught students

The Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) is a national survey from Advance Higher Education (HE) that invites postgraduate taught students to share their course experiences anonymously.

PTES covers teaching and learning, engagement, assessment and feedback, organisation and management, and skill development. The results are used both departmentally and institutionally to identify areas for celebration and areas to improve the student experience.

The survey runs from April to June each year and you’ll be invited to complete this via email. You’ll also be entered into a prize draw to win cash prizes once you’ve completed the survey.

Postgraduate research students

The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) is a national survey conducted by Advance HE that allows postgraduate research students to anonymously share their experiences in their programs.

The survey addresses topics like supervision, resources, research community, progress and assessment, skills, professional development, and wellbeing. Your feedback helps us identify what’s working well and where improvements are needed.

The survey is open from April to May each year, and you’ll receive an email invitation to participate. Completing the survey will also enter you into a prize draw for cash rewards.
