Studying in Salford not only means you're a stone's throw away from Manchester city centre, but you're also in easy reach of a more tranquil alternative, with nature quite literally on our doorstep.

So whether it's a picnic in Peel Park or an adventure a little further afield, accessing the countryside or taking some headspace from your studies couldn't be easier.

Take a look below to discover scenic beauty spots close by.

RHS Garden Bridgewater

RHS Garden Bridgewater opened in 2021 and is based in Worsley, Salford. It's said to be 'Europe's biggest hands-on horticultural project', bringing 154 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens to the area. It's only a 15 minute drive from the University, so you can explore at your leisure.

As a student, you can get unlimited free visits by paying a tenner for membership. Visit the RHS Garden Bridgewater website for more information.
