Short Course: Digital Capabilities in Health Care

As part of the Higher Education Short Course Trial Challenge competition, the University of Salford has developed the Digital Capabilities course as one of six new short courses in partnership with industry.

This course has been developed in line with Health Education England's Digital Capabilities Framework and on this course, you will gain an in-depth understanding of how data and technology can be used to support positive healthcare outcomes. You will explore the emerging topic of digital health and become confident and competent when using digital tools in the workplace.

You don’t need a specific qualification or technical knowledge to study this course. It’s ideal for anyone who is interested in learning more about the digital landscape and how it applies to healthcare – including nurses, clinicians, hospital management, support teams and those who work in administrative services.

Associate Dean Academic (Student Experience), Neil Withnell, said: “The digital capabilities module is aimed at anyone working in healthcare. The module focusses on digital health and provides an in-depth understanding of how data and technology can help with positive healthcare outcomes. Studying this module will enhance your confidence in your digital skills and equip you with the necessary tools for the future.”
