Salford professor to address conference on war video games
Professor Garry Crawford (pictured below) from the University of Salford will be joining some of the biggest names in the world of video gaming to discuss the phenomenon of war games.
Taking place at the Imperial War Museum (IWM) London, on 26 November, War Games Live is a half-day festival bringing together leading designers, podcasters, journalists, musicians and gaming enthusiasts. The event will feature live performances, talks and gaming interactives, with visitors granted after-hours access to the IWM’s War Games exhibition and retro game zone.
Garry's research and teaching covers a wide arrange of topics, but he has a particular interest in video game culture. He has authored and co-authored numerous books including, Cosplay and the Art of Play (2019), Video Games as Culture (2018), and Video Gamers (2012).
