How do we make sustainable and equitable ecosystems for social prescribing?

The conference, taking place on 26 May from 09:00-16:00, will explore innovative approaches to help reduce health and social inequalities through social prescribing.

A wide range of topics will be discussed, including:

• Developing an equalities toolkit for social prescribing
• Tackling health and social issues and inequalities
• Funding sustainable social prescribing services and ecosystems
• Capturing and sharing the value of social prescribing
• Running and designing social prescribing services for maximum access and effect
• Impact of Covid-19 on social prescribing services.

Cormac Lawler, Research Fellow at the University of Salford’s Social Prescribing Hub, said: “This is going to be a fantastic conference. The whole day fits together really nicely and we’re proud that each session feeds into the core question of how to build sustainable and equitable ecosystems for social prescribing”.

The sessions will be presented by a wide range of speakers, including industry professionals, policy makers, academics, social prescribing providers, community organisations and practitioners.

“We have a large network locally, nationally and internationally, so it will be interesting to hear how different regions approach social prescribing. We’re looking forward to a day of rich discussion oriented towards practical action,” said Cormac.
