This November, the University of Salford is hosting a variety of events where photography and climate collide together.
The University of Salford chapter of the LOOK Photo Biennial 2022 - presented by the University of Salford Art Collection in partnership with Open Eye Gallery, Liverpool - includes a creative collaboration with Energy House research facility, plus two further photography projects all inspired by environmental issues.
A special launch event to kick off the Salford chapter is taking place from 16.30 on Thursday 3 November in the New Adelphi Building on Peel Park Campus, and will include a poetry reading by former Chancellor and writer-in-residence Professor Jackie Kay CBE written in response to Energy House.

Following the launch there are three further events taking place: Explore new work by McCoy Wynne from their residency at the Energy House, and join them later on in the month for an online talk in conversation with its project leader Professor Richard Fitton.
Artists and lecturers Megan Powell and Gwen Riley Jones from Salford School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology will share work on the importance of ecosystem habitats and using plant-based methods to address topics of nature and wellbeing with local youth groups respectively.
