How will the art and design tutors support my learning and development?
You'll be assigned a personal tutor who will support you through your three years on your chosen course. Your personal tutor will arrange regular tutorials to discuss your progress, help with any problems you may be having, and will be your mentor for your final year major project. In addition, your course lecturers are available to respond to your questions, support you throughout your studies, and provide you with support and guidance for careers and employability.
What's the teaching style in art and design at Salford?
Most of the teaching on our art and design degree courses is practical, and you will learn from lecturers and technical demonstrators who are specialists in their field.
You'll be exposed to a range of different teaching methods, from group work to practical-led workshops. The theoretical elements of the course are taught through lectures and seminars.
Do the courses have any technical staff that'll help me learn new skills?
Our teaching staff are supported by an experienced and talented team of technical demonstrators. They will help you to learn new skills using our industry-standard facilities and equipment. You could learn everything from how to use our specialist arts and design software to woodworking, sculpture, 3D printing skills and more.
