Our specialist counselling suite is used to train students to become professional counsellors and psychotherapists. We will work with members of the local community and charities so that they can access this facility and room hire is available. The suite features therapeutic areas where one-to-one, family and group interactions can take place.

Counselling Service

We provide general counselling services for adults who live or work in Greater Manchester for a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship problems, stress, bereavement and loss. We also provide a specialist service for those who have experienced mental health difficulties resulting from domestic violence.

Exercise Physiology Testing

Running Economy Testing

The Exercise Physiology Testing Service is designed for runners and cyclists who wish to gain a deeper understanding of their fitness and explore ways to enhance it. Having knowledge of your fitness allows you to establish realistic training zones, thereby making your training more effective in improving performance.

Tests include the use of specialist equipment for the measurement of maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max), lactate threshold, body composition, and energy expenditure.
