Rik Garrad
Raised in Yorkshire Rik is a working-class actor who started to follow his passion a little bit later in life. Rik’s playing age is 38-48.
After securing roles in several TV shows including The Syndicate, In The Flesh, Hollyoaks, and Coronation Street, Rik took the decision to quit his day job to attend full time drama school as a mature student, graduating in 2023 with a BA (hons) Acting,1st class. While studying Rik appeared again in Coronation Street as well as several independent films including the award winning Short Stay Long Stay with Neil Bell and Nitin Ganatra (OBE)
Rik is a keen lifelong martial artist who has taught Kung Fu at his own school for many years and is stage combat trained with BADC qualifications in several different weapons systems. He also has extensive firearms training.
While studying at Salford, Rik has relished being able to combine his martial skill with digital technology in motion capture work and has discovered he has a real passion for video game voice acting.
Outside of the acting world Rik is a family man and father to boy and girl twins and really enjoys spending his spare time with his young family.
