Richard Xu
Richard Xu has professional theatre training and experience, and speaks fluent Mandarin and English.
Following his graduation from Shanghai Theatre Academy with a drama degree, Richard undertook professional theatre experience including Shakespearean characters with Nicholas Barter and the ‘Prize’ in theatre competition. For his roles, he trained with the Beijing Opera, including stage combat.
Since beginning his postgraduate Screen Acting course at Salford, Richard has begun to shape characters for short films and explored acting for motion capture, an area that greatly interests him.
