Fashion Design graduate becomes favourite with football clubs
Molly Haydock, a University of Salford BA Fashion Design graduate started designing masks during the 2020 lockdown, quickly selling over 3,000.
Molly started building her business during the pandemic selling over 3,000 face masks before turning her hand to quirky football themed reversable patchwork bucket hats and accessories.
With coronavirus restrictions easing Molly realised that she had to diversify her range with the requirement to wear masks moving from mandatory to personal choice.
As well as bucket hats Molly also makes bespoke jewellery, hats, scrunchies, headbands and bags, and was also featured at London Fashion Week.
On her time at the University of Salford, Molly said:
“Being a student at the University of Salford was so challenging but rewarding, it encouraged me to reach my full potential, and shaped who I am today and the style I approach in my design. I still use methods to this date that I was taught on the Fashion Design course, and always will.
“I probably wouldn’t be where I am today in terms of building my own business if it wasn’t for studying there. I think the most important thing I learnt on my course was that you will always get where you want to be with consistency, dedication and patience. I will always be grateful, and proud to say I studied at the University of Salford. It has definitely been a big part of my journey!”
So far, Molly’s created hats with the logos of Accrington Stanley, Burnley FC, Blackburn Rovers and England as well as Chelsea FC, Liverpool, Burnley and Leeds United.
Molly's hats can be purchased for £35 from her Facebook page.
