“Over the past four years, I have been given amazing opportunities and met some incredible people along the way. My time with the University of Salford has truly been some of the best years of my life, and most definitely my most successful years. Being shortlisted as a finalist for this award feels like recognition of the work I have put it over this time. Ultimately, the work I have put in has been to benefit my artist development and not to gain any form of recognition. But being shortlisted as a finalist for this award feels like a great acknowledgement of the hard work I have put in during my time at the University. There have most definitely been some major hurdles along the way, but I like to think I have tackled them as challenges rather than used them as excuses. I am extremely grateful for all the support and recognition I have received over the past four years and being shortlisted as a finalist for this award is an amazing extension of that recognition.”
