“Being shortlisted as a finalist was a complete surprise and means so much to me. As a final year PhD student, it's very easy to forget how far I’ve come because I’m so focused on the finish line. Being shortlisted reminded me to step back and appreciate everything I've done and experienced over my time at Salford. It's lovely to have all the work I've put in be recognised and it’s made me very proud of everything I’ve achieved so far.

I feel very lucky and proud to be part of the School of Arts, Media, and Creative Technology and to be able to work alongside incredible students and academics. I’m forever grateful to my PhD supervisor, Dr Caroline Magennis, for her unwavering support and guidance. I could not ask for better. I’m also incredibly grateful for the support of Dr Carson Bergstrom and Professor Jade Munslow-Ong.”
