“It means a lot to me to be shortlisted, as the work I am doing is very important to me. I want to create real social change in my area and create a thriving creative industry where there is currently none. I want to create a space for North Manchester creatives to feel seen and I am using my final major project as a launch pad for a magazine I produced in May 2024. The magazine is a directional arts/fashion/magazine while also addressing some of the issues working class creatives face when trying to ‘make it’. Being shortlisted affirms the work I am doing is necessary and validated.”
