Professor Allan Walker
Professor Allan Walker, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Dean of the Salford School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology, is a member of the University judging panel for the annual Create Student Awards.
Professor Allan Walker is Pro-Vice Chancellor and Dean of the School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology at the University of Salford. He has led the School since its formation in 2012, ensuring close connection with the creative industries and with the regeneration of Salford as a city of culture. As a senior academic, he has extensive experience of research, enterprise, and academic development at national and international levels.
Allan is a trustee of ProtectED (Student Safety and Protection) Community Interest Company, and recently completed a second term as a Trustee for the Centre For Chinese Contemporary Art in Manchester and was part of the team responsible for its successful relaunch as ESEA (Exchange for South East Asian Arts).
Internationally Allan is a Visiting Professor at the China Academy of Arts and a member of the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority.
