Kai Ojo heads up the Diversity and Inclusion team at the Manchester Publicity Association (MPA) and manages the start-up and growth of the UK office for Planisware.

Kai is an alumnus of the University of Salford and initially did a Foundation in Unified Engineering Systems before an Undergraduate in Electronics and Computer Systems Engineering. After graduating in 2000, he then did an MBA in General Management at Lancaster University’s Management School. 

With a track record spanning over two decades, Kai has consistently demonstrated his expertise across various organisational scales, from dynamic start-ups to mid-sized enterprises and large corporations. His experiences include the management of customer-centric delivery teams, overseeing product development groups, orchestrating strategic sales initiatives, managing key accounts, and undertaking overarching business operations. 

Kai has a passion for people, software and technology. He started off as a software engineer working in Stockport within the automotive sector, for customers such as Ford, Jaguar Land Rover and Honda. He then switched to project management roles, working in Leeds and Manchester, before joining Planisware in 2016 as the UK and Ireland CEO. He also helped set up their UK Office in MediaCityUK. 

In addition, Kai is a staunch advocate for fostering inclusivity and diversity within the tech landscape. Kai collaborates with tech-oriented businesses and educational institutions, diligently championing a multifaceted array of proactive initiatives. His work extends to fostering increased representation of marginalised groups, including Black and Asian talents as well as women, within technology.
