Building prosperity and equity

We explore the mechanisms driving the success and wellbeing of individuals, organisations and society by drawing on our long history of working with local, national and international businesses and policymakers on issues around economic development.

Our expertise in this theme cuts across topics such as the development and adoption of technologies, human capital and skills development, financial and social inclusion, and sustainable innovation to promote increased productivity and widespread prosperity.

The outcomes of our research help businesses to innovate, promote more productive employment practice, and make sure that fair and responsible policies are enacted.

This work aligns with several of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, including those on Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG 9), Reducing Inequalities (SDG 10), Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), and Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12).

It starts in Salford. A place where ideas are formed that shape the world.
