Lecturer

Biography

Robert is a Lecturer in Psychology at University of Salford where he is Co-Lead of the Applied Cognition Research Group and Co-Chair of Salford Open Science and Reproducibility Group. Robert is also the Programme Leader for MSc by Research in Psychology and BSc (Hons) Psychology with English Language.

Robert completed a first degree in Psychology from the University of Glasgow and subsequently worked at the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Cambridge on a project funded by the High Q Foundation. Robert then completed an MPhil in Neuroscience at the Faculty of Life Sciences at the University of Manchester (BBSRC-funded) followed by a PhD in Experimental Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Salford.

Areas of Research

Affective science, emotion regulation, emotion & cognition, mental health, visual attention, sleep, cognitive neuroscience, cognitive restoration, nature-based interventions and ecotherapy.

Areas of Supervision

Robert welcomes applications from postgraduate research students (MSc by Research and PhD) in affective science, emotion regulation, mental health, visual attention, cognitive psychology, sleep, cognitive neuroscience, cognitive restoration, nature-based interventions and ecotherapy.
