Biography

Dr. Peter Reeves is Senior Lecturer in Marketing at Salford Business School.

His work has been published in journals such as; European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Brand Management , Journal of Non-profit and Public Sector Marketing, and International Journal of Educational Management. He was Guest Editor for a 2016 special edition of the Journal of Customer Behaviour entitled: Political Marketing: Voters, political parties, candidates and elections. He served on the Editorial (Advisory) Board of the Journal of Marketing Management (2010-2016), and currently serves on the editorial review board of the European Journal of Marketing. He is also an highly experienced doctoral supervisor, and as examiner has undertaken viva voce examination and assessment of research degree theses.

He is Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI), Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), and Fellow Member of the Academy of Marketing Science
He has significant experience of managing academic teams, including managing a large Marketing and Leisure academic subject group which comprised courses and colleagues working in marketing, international business, tourism and events management. He is also previously been Programme Leader for MSc Marketing.

He has taught extensively on the postgraduate block release intensive module delivery and has considerable expertise in e-learning methodologies. He has also taught on the Help to Grow program in the area of brand management, and as well at MBA level on Marketing and Operations. He is currently Link Tutor for the Chartered Management Institute.

He is an experienced external examiner with appointments previously held at Glyndwr University, Kingston University (Postgraduate) and New Bucks University (Undergraduate). He has also been external advisor to University of Northampton for the Periodic Subject Review of Marketing and Entrepreneurship programs, and reviewer for University of Buckingham. He has significant experience in leading program design and validation in the marketing area at undergraduate and postgraduate level. He serves on the University of Salford Program Approval and Review Committee and has previously served on the University of Salford Academic Regulations Sub-Committee.
