Biography
Max Lewin has a background in sports biomechanics studying Sports and Exercise Science (BSc (Hons), Liverpool John Moores University) and Sports Biomechanics (MSc, Loughborough University). He joined the University of Salford as a KTP Associate in 2018 working with WearerTech Ltd completing research on customised work footwear. He then transitioned onto another KTP project as an Associate working with Scholl's Wellness Company completing research around portable data collection methods for lower limb biomechanics related to orthotic and insole testing. Publications from these projects include product testing using plantar pressure, validation of a portable IMU, and identification of relationships between lower limb biomechanics and insole comfort. He currently works with industry partners integrating biomechanics into footwear testing and development cycles.
