backstage labour, especially lighting/lighting design, stage management and backstage crew; scenography; identity in creative practice; cooperation and collaboration; interactional linguistics; technical theatre pedagogy

Areas of Supervision

Scenography; backstage people and processes; ethnography; theatre history and historiography (especially of creative/backstage professions).

I am the current programme leader on the BA (Hons) Technical Theatre (Production and Design) degree, where I teach stage/production management and design skills across all three year groups.
