Biography
Joshi is a Lecturer in Adult Nursing and the Admissions Tutor for Nursing Studies at the University of Salford. She is an NMC-registered nurse with a diverse range of experiences. Her previous roles include working in emergency nursing, as an acute medical nurse with a special interest in diabetes, and as a nursing educator for first-generation women graduates , internationally. Additionally, she has worked as a Senior Clinical Research Nurse at Manchester Royal Infirmary, with research involving various advanced therapeutic technologies, including closed-loop/artificial pancreas studies in type 1 diabetes, medical device implants for the treatment of resistant hypertension, and COVID-19 vaccine trials.
Joshi has a special interest in digital health and has briefly worked as a Clinical Application Analyst. An advocate for intentional inclusivity in education, she is also keen on supporting neurodiversity in nursing education, supporting carers , promoting patient-public involvement in research, and integrating digital technology and gamification into nursing education. Joshi has an interest in poetry and creative pedagogies.
