Biography
Giuseppe Forino is Lecturer in Planning. Giuseppe is an interdisciplinary human geographer working on disaster risk, climate change adaptation, policies and governance. He has conducted fieldwork in Europe, Australia, South East Asia and Ecuador. He
has published over 50 academic papers and book chapters on these topics; in addition, he regularly publishes opinion pieces for larger audiences. Giuseppe is Associate Editor of International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction. Giuseppe has published three edited books, including "Multiple Geographical Perspectives on Hazards and
Disasters" (with L.M. Calandra and A. Porru) (Valmar, 2014), "Governance of Risk, Hazards and Disasters: Trends in Theory and Practice (with S. Bonati and L.M. Calandra) (Routledge, 2018), and Disasters and Changes in Politics and Society: Contemporary Perspectives from Italy (Bristol University Press, 2024).
