Salford Talent attains 16 nominations at the Royal Television Society North-West Student Awards
University of Salford students have been nominated 16 times across 10 categories, with all three nominations in best news category going to BA Journalism graduates.
Best ‘Comedy & Entertainment’, ‘Camera’, ‘Drama’ and ‘Writing’ categories all boast two Salford nominations for work that has been completed in the past 12 months.
The prestigious awards set-out to highlight outstanding contribution to television from students who have delivered top industry-standard work.
Students from the University have also been nominated in the best ‘Factual’, ‘Sound’, ‘Production Design’, ‘Edit’ and ‘Animation’ categories.
Professor Allan Walker, Dean of School of Arts and Media said: “This is an outstanding achievement for all of these students, and I am delighted that the nominations are across so many award categories. We are also represented in depth with the three nominations in Journalism.
He added: “I want to personally congratulate all the nominees and wish them the best of luck with the awards.”
The winners will be announced on 24 February 2020 in a ceremony hosted at The Lowry.
