New fashion business offers online consultations

Imogen Fish, who graduated in 2019 with a degree in Fashion Image Making and Styling, has launched her business providing bespoke personal shopping and styling packages, which she can do over Skype while the whole country is in lockdown. She will resume face to face consultations once things get back to normal.

Imogen Fish Styling offers a range of services including personal shopping, personal styling sessions and wardrobe detoxes.

Imogen said: “I offer a personal shopping that is bespoke to the client's individual needs. I will go shopping with them based on their budget, needs and lifestyles.

“I can also provide a sorting out service, for example, where clients have had a dramatic change in weight or if they just want a style change.”

Consultations can either be in person or online and are tailored to fit a pre-arranged budget for everything from wedding guest outfit planning to the season’s most on-trend garments.

Imogen added: “I’ve always really enjoyed shopping and I’ve always helped my family and friends to choose outfits for events like weddings.

“Some brands have personal styling services, but these aren’t always suited to everybody’s budget or style, I want to provide a service that is bespoke to the client in a way that is accessible to everybody."

The Launch @SalfordUni Business Incubator has been supporting Imogen with access to office space, masterclasses and one-to-one sessions with entrepreneurs and experts.

Imogen added: “I’ve always wanted to be my own boss and have always wanted the freedom of working for myself.

“Launch has really helped me a lot with the marketing aspect of the business and have really boosted my confidence, without them I wouldn’t really have known where to start.

“It’s great to know that there are experts there that can help me with anything that I’m not sure about, it’s nice to be part of a little family at the university.”
