Create Awards

Now in its seventh year, Create Student Awards is the flagship end-of-year event for Salford School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology, celebrating and showcasing the achievements of our 2022 graduates.

Professor Allan Walker, Dean of the Salford School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology, said: “The Create Student Awards are the highlight of our academic year and provide an important opportunity to celebrate the success of our students. Without doubt, the exceptional quality of the nominations and presentation of the winners make this a very special occasion. It is also an opportunity to thank staff for their incredible commitment through the year and our industry partners for their support. This year, we have the bonus of holding Create in public after two years of virtual Awards and it is fitting that we will host them in our own New Adelphi Theatre!"

Associate Dean - Engagement and Enterprise, Sam Ingleson said: “I am a delighted to, once again, be involved in the judging of the annual Create Student Awards and, as in previous years, the quality of applications has been of a very high standard. The purpose of the Awards is to recognise the activities that our students undertake not just within their degree subject and study areas, but across the wider School and University through engagement with external communities and industry partners."

The judging panel play an integral part in the production of Create Student Awards. Meeting annually, the group includes senior representatives from within the School, alumni and invited industry guests. It is their substantial and varied experience in the University and cultural sectors that ensures a range of knowledge and expertise throughout the rigorous shortlisting process, choosing our finalists from the 97 nominations received.

Tune in on Thursday 9 June at 19:00 for the full broadcast.
