Even sensitive data can be shared legally and ethically if researchers use informed consent, anonymisation and controlled access to data. 

 

When working with data researchers are expected to be aware of ethical standards and comply with relevant legislation. This includes the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the data protection legislation.
