Use alternative formats with Blackboard Ally

Ally Blackboard logo

Use the Blackboard Ally tool to convert course materials to a range of alternative formats that work best for you.

You can convert a file to HTML for improved reading on mobile devices, or to Immersive Reader with its Read Aloud functions, and MP3 audio files for learning on the go. There are over 50 languages available with the Translated format, and electronic Braille for the visually impaired. If you're not sure which format to download, click on the Help link to help you decide.

Downloading Alternative Formats

Just click on the Ally's alternative formats download icon beside the original file (the image shown on the right), select the format that you would like and select Download. This will download the alternative format directly to your device and allow you to store it for offline use so you can access it later without internet access or having to visit Blackboard.
