Public park outside Peel Building
The photo shows how the lawn outside Peel Building looked in about 1900.
The Peel Building opened in 1896 to house the newly established Royal Technical Institute. The Institute provided a technical education in subjects such as mechanical engineering, chemical works, textiles, and construction.
