My particular ceremony date is inconvenient; is it possible to change it?
Unfortunately, you cannot choose to attend a different ceremony from the one to which you have been invited. If you are unable to attend your allocated ceremony, you are welcome to attend the next graduation event of your choice instead. Please contact grad-acd@salford.ac.uk to attend a different graduation event.
What happens if I cannot attend the ceremony?
Please note that the graduation is a celebratory event - you are very welcome but not obliged to attend in order to receive your certificate. The university will post all certificates to students prior to the graduation ceremony. For more information, please visit our page on certificates and transcripts.
If these dates are inconvenient but you would like to attend graduation, please contact the Graduation Office grad-acd@salford.ac.uk to arrange to come to any of the future University of Salford Graduations.
Will there be free parking on campus?
Parking
Secure parking is available in the Lowry Outlet multi-storey car park, which also has designated areas for disabled people on each level where car parking charges apply.
Finding us
What time should I arrive?
You should aim to arrive at least two hours before the ceremony to give yourself ample time to pick up your tickets, collect your gown and hood, and register. You must register on the day itself no less than ninety minutes before the start of the ceremony.
How long will the ceremony last?
The ceremony will last approximately one hour.
What happens if I am late for my ceremony?
It is vital that you arrive in good time for your ceremony and we ask that you arrive two hours before your ceremony is due to commence. This is important, as it allows you time to register, collect robes and to collect your tickets. Please see the graduate handbook for further information about the process on the day. Please note that graduates will not be admitted to the main hall any later than 30 minutes before the ceremony is due to begin, there is no exception to this rule.
