The David Tupman Engineering Scholarship
The David Tupman Engineering Scholarship is generously funded by Salford alumnus and former Vice President of Apple, David Tupman.
The Scholarship provides female students from low-income backgrounds studying an undergraduate engineering degree with financial support for the duration of their studies.
Tupman’s generosity is not only a source of financial relief but a life-changing opportunity that instils our students with the confidence they need to succeed.

"I cannot thank you enough for awarding me with your scholarship. I really appreciate your generosity; it will be an enormous help to me throughout my time at university.
Since moving to university, money has been one of my top concerns [and] receiving this award has given me a huge sense of relief financially."
Sophie
"I was ecstatic to find out that I was awarded this Scholarship, the weight of stress was lifted as I no longer have to worry about financial problems.
I would like to say that I am very appreciative to David Tupman for making this possible for me, and to thank you for your generosity in giving students this extra support."
Molly
"With the circumstances surrounding Covid-19 and the difficulties this has created for many including myself, this Scholarship will support me financially with travel to and from university, with the equipment I need to further my dreams, and will assist me for everyday essentials within my household.
Thanks to you these dreams and ambitions are appearing to be much more realistic and feasible."
Our mission at Salford is to transform lives, stimulate discovery and help our students to realise their potential; we look forward to continuing our relationship with David Tupman and awarding our future engineers with more incredible scholarships.
