Naming Opportunities Donation Form
Your name on campus
In choosing to name a space on campus, you can chose to direct your support to one of our priority areas:
- Student Hardship - Revive Grants
- Believe Scholarship Fund
- Women in STEM Scholarship
- Performance Graduate Scholarship
- Greatest Need
Over the last couple of years, Covid-19 has had a profound impact on the lives of people around the world, but we are immensely proud of the support we have been able to provide for our students. The global pandemic has highlighted the increasing prevalence of student hardship, which has continued to rise as we all face the current cost of living crisis. We are determined to help reduce the financial pressure on young people as they pursue their academic and professional dreams, but we need your support.
Student Hardship - Revive Grants
To equip our students with everything they need to thrive and not just survive, your support will allow us to create grants for projects addressing areas such as mental health, wellbeing, and employability. With your help, our Student Hardship - Revive Grants help us to provide a lifeline to those experiencing exceptional financial difficulties through no fault of their own.
Believe Scholarship
At Salford, we are proud that for over 10 years we have been at the forefront of supporting our care leaver students. As care leavers often feel like they won’t fit in at university, our Believe Scholarship provides a safety net of support, but also a vote of confidence that we believe in their ability to succeed. Through Believe, students most in need receive a £1,000 bursary for the three academic years of an undergraduate programme.
Women in STEM Scholarship
We are also committed to encouraging women to study STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) programmes in our School of Science, Engineering and Environment. The Women in STEM Scholarship programme is designed to provide financial support to talented women, to encourage them to be the STEM leaders of the future. Scholarships can be the difference between a student applying to university and pursuing their professional dreams or having to put those dreams on hold and not fulfil their potential. You can help us to be there for our talented students as they make their way in the world.
Performance Graduate Scholarship
For our University, it’s important that we continue to support our students as they venture into the professional world, but to do this, we need your help. Your generosity can offer development opportunities otherwise unavailable to many following graduation. The Performance Graduate Scholarship programme will provide recent performance graduates with the money, time, and resources to continue experimenting and taking risks with their creative practice, offering them a supportive framework with a £3,000 package of support. This fund can be the difference between an artist being able to pursue their professional aspirations, regardless of circumstance, or having to put those on hold for a more secure role outside of the creative industry. You can help us to be there for our early graduates as they make their way in the world.
We really hope that you are able to support our work through any of these priority areas, but you can also choose to support Salford students in a way that allows us to be the most responsive to their needs, through the area of Greatest Need fund.
