What Can We Offer You?
Our sports and exercise teams have strong links with elite sports organisations including Sale Sharks, Salford Red Devils, Manchester Storm and Premier League football clubs.
You will study in state-of-the-art facilities, including our Human Performance Lab and Strength and Conditioning Suite.
You will have the opportunity to develop your learning through real-world experiences including through placements and by working in our on-site public facing clinics.
Charlotte Cramp
MSc Performance Analysis in Sport student and Ice Hockey player
Charlotte graduated in 2023 after completing the BSc Sports Science with Foundation Year programme before embarking on an MSc in Performance Analysis in Sport at the University of Salford.
With an unwavering passion for sport, Charlotte excels as both an accomplished Ice Hockey player for Widnes Wild Women and the President of Manchester Metros, an external student Ice Hockey Club. In addition, she is not only a player but also an accredited Ice Hockey UK official. In January 2024, Charlotte was selected to represent Great Britain as an on-ice official at the International Ice Hockey Federation’s (IIHF) U18 Women’s World Championship IIB in Bulgaria, further showcasing her dedication to the sport.
Evie Almond
Lecturer in Sports Rehabilitation and former Wigan Athletic F.C. Academy Sport Rehabilitator
Evie brings valuable experience to the team, with a particular focus on youth athletic development and injury rehabilitation/prevention,
spanning over a decade.
With five years at Wigan Athletic F.C., many years of clinical experience and a decade coaching youth tennis, she serves as module lead for the ‘Applied Therapy and Rehab Skills’, ‘Foundation Exercise and Conditioning’ modules and Admissions Tutor for our Sport Rehabilitation programme.
Her diverse experience, passion, and expertise enrich her teaching, enhancing the learning experience for students on the programme.
