Leading & Managing in the Digital Age

Today, almost all businesses are digital businesses: the role of a leader is complex and multi-faceted as digital technology permeates organisations, disrupting existing models while simultaneously creating new opportunities. Stakeholder expectations are changing, the volume of data is growing exponentially, and working practices are being transformed.

This module will provide an understanding of the tools and techniques necessary for successfully harnessing, leading, and exploiting transformational and responsible business opportunities in the digital era. It relates classic leadership theory with contemporary research and practice to provide a foundation for embracing strategic thinking and demonstrating leadership and team building skills.

Personal & Professional Development for Strategic Leadership

The constantly changing, volatile, uncertain, and ambiguous business environment has raised the need for management to possess strategic leadership qualities.  Strategic leadership involves core leadership abilities and qualities such as for example problem solving, creative strategic planning, goal setting and vision-creating, leader influence typologies (ethics resilience), strategy formation, implementation, and monitoring. This module will enable you to gain knowledge of such strategic leadership qualities, skill, and competencies, through engagement with theory, critical thinking & analysis, raising awareness of the practical significance.  Sessions will enable self-assessment and self-reflection, encouraging you to understand how to develop your own leadership capabilities within a professional development capacity.

You will learn digital marketing planning techniques, including goal setting, audience segmentation and resource allocation, providing you with essential skills to gather insights for strategic decision-making. A customer-centric digital marketing strategy will be emphasised to enhance global customer engagement and firm success.

Accounting & Finance for Non-Financial Managers

This module will cover the core topics within financial and management accounting that are required to be an effective and strategic manager. The module will begin by consider the strategic role and scope of accounting and finance in organisations.
