Our BSc (Hons) Computer Science with Professional Experience course includes a 12-month industry placement between years two and three. This opportunity will enable you to apply what you’ve learnt so far in an industry setting and develop additional workplace skills to complement your academic studies.
Through core modules, you’ll look at Java, Linux, databases, artificial intelligence, software engineering, and computer graphics. You can also choose specialist modules to suit your interests.
BSc (Hons) Computer Science with Foundation Year
Our BSc (Hons) Computer Science with Foundation Year course is designed for students who want to study the full honours degree, but don’t meet the direct entry requirements. On successful completion of the foundation year, you'll progress on to the full computer science course.
On this course, you’ll gain programming practice through design, implementation and testing. You’ll also develop a broad knowledge of computing by completing specially designed projects, learning methodical approaches and understanding the Java language.
BSc (Hons) Computer Science with Cyber Security
Interested in how things work? Got a keen eye for detail? Then our BSc (Hons) Computer Science with Cyber Security course is for you. You’ll be able to help businesses and organisations fight back against cyber criminals by using in-depth cyber security knowledge.
You’ll learn how to diagnose attacks and use forensics to determine the extent of the damage. We’ll also help you cultivate independent technical judgement, ready for your future security-related roles.
BSc (Hons) Computer Science with Cyber Security with Professional Experience
Our BSc (Hons) Computer Science with Cyber Security with Professional Experience course is designed to fill an emerging skills gap. It will provide you with an understanding of the inner workings of programmes so you can understand how cyber-attacks happen and how to prevent them.
