The full BSc (Hons) Biochemistry degree is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology, meaning you will develop a solid academic foundation in biological knowledge, ready for future employment.

BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Science
Our BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Science degree in Clearing is designed to ensure you can join the next generation of scientists applying new knowledge to create new treatments and interventions.
This course is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology. Studying an accredited course is an ideal way to show future employers you have the skills and knowledge they are looking for in graduates. It also has the benefit of greater employability prospects and enhanced competitiveness in a crowded global jobs market.
On this pharmaceutical science course, you’ll have the option to take an industry placement between years two and three. Recent pharmaceutical science students have been offered placements at Pfizer in Kent, the Transplant Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital, and the Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute.
BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Science with Foundation Year
Our BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Science with Foundation Year is recommended if you want to develop your career in biosciences but have a non-scientific background, or you don’t meet the entry requirements for direct entry to an honours degree.
The full BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Science degree is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology. Once you have successfully completed your foundation year and progress onto the full degree, you will build your academic knowledge and skills to join the next generation of scientists who design drugs that improve quality of life and can tackle pandemics and diseases.

As a chemical science student at Salford, you’ll get opportunities to go on placement where you can further your knowledge and passion for the chemical sciences and make a real contribution to new scientific developments. You will have to find the placement yourself, but you will get plenty of support from your lecturers to find one that’s right for you.
