International Women's Day 2024

A selection of our female students and staff

Every year on 8 March, we mark International Women's Day to celebrate and empower women all around the globe. This year's theme 'Inspiring Inclusivity' aims to ensure that women everywhere are represented and included to create a more equal world.

Here at the University of Salford, we're surrounded by incredible female students, alumni and staff who are breaking barriers, changing the world and inspiring the next generation of female leaders. We're committed to inclusivity and cherish the diversity of our community. We are proud to say that 56% of staff at Salford are female, and of those 14% are from Minoritised Ethnic backgrounds.

We're celebrating this International Women's Day by championing our students' success stories and sharing a selection of resources to inspire inclusivity everywhere.
