Mentoring and Leadership
Leadership skills are highly valued by potential employers and are worth developing along with your teamwork skills. Being mentored can give you insight into how you can progress in your chosen career path and gives you insight into industry. Mentors can support you through advice, introductions and guidance. We run several mentoring schemes to increase your employability, such as the Industry Advice Mentoring Scheme, as well as programmes to develop your leadership skills such as Common Purpose Future Leaders Experience.
Volunteering
Volunteering can improve your careers prospects and it’s also a great way of getting a good work-life balance. Helping others can improve your mental and physical health – plus it’s a great way to meet new people.
