Women in Leadership Workshop at SPD

At the end of May 2024, the women of Salford Professional Development and UniTemps attended our new and highly anticipated Women in Leadership 1 Day Workshop. The programme was a resounding success, offering a comprehensive and immersive experience designed to empower and inspire female leaders.

The course was led by the esteemed Anne McCarthy, whose extensive background in leadership and transformational change made her the perfect facilitator. Anne’s impressive career includes heading transformational change initiatives at Royal Mail, serving as a non-executive director, and working as an interim HR director. Her wealth of experience and insightful perspectives provided invaluable guidance and inspiration to all participants.

Throughout the day, staff engaged in a variety of activities and discussions aimed at developing their leadership skills, enhancing their strategic thinking, and fostering a collaborative environment. They participated in interactive workshops, group exercises, and individual reflection sessions, all designed to build confidence and leadership capabilities.

The programme covered a wide range of topics, including understanding your own leadership style, how to have difficult conversations, networking and selling your personal brand.

In addition to the structured learning sessions, the workshop provided ample opportunities for networking and peer support. The women of Salford Professional Development and UniTemps were able to connect with one another, share their experiences, and build a supportive working approach that will continue to foster their growth and development long after the workshop.

Overall, the Women in Leadership 1 Day workshop was a transformative experience for all attendees, equipping them with the tools and confidence needed to excel in their leadership roles. The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their appreciation for the insights and inspiration they gained from Anne McCarthy and the programme as a whole.
