Accessibility on campus

Students on campus

We have worked with AccessAble, the leading provider of access information for all disabled people in the UK, since 2008 to provide trusted accessibility information about our campus. DisabledGo has also worked closely with the University in producing an assessment of our campus and facilities.

At times when construction work is taking place on campus, alternative routes and entrances to some buildings and facilities may be necessary. Alternative entrances will be signposted.

All of our buildings are equipped with a Deaf Alerter radio-based fire alarm warning and a public address messaging system.

AccessAble Salford Uni App

You can now find your way around our whole campus with our free app, AccessAble Salford Uni.

Developed by in partnership with AccessAble, the app includes detailed accessibility information about lecture halls, cafés and bars, toilets and halls of residence.

The launch of the app continues our strong commitment to equality and inclusive design, so that our campus can be used by everyone.

Travelling here and parking

There are a number of car parking spaces reserved for state-registered blue badge holders in every car park; the number of these spaces is different at each location.

For those travelling to here by train, Salford Crescent train station is on campus and access is by stairs or lift.

Our MediaCity campus is easily accessible by tram, and the journey takes approximately 15 minutes between Manchester Piccadilly and MediaCity.
