Complaints

The Student Complaints Procedure is used to raise concerns about services provided by the University.

Academic Appeals

An Academic Appeal is a way of asking the University to review a recent decision taken by the Assessment Board or the Postgraduate Research Awards Board.

Academic Misconduct

The Academic Misconduct Procedure  is used to consider concerns raised around the integrity of work submitted for credit or award from the University.  

Declaring Criminal Convictions and Ongoing Police investigations

All students are required to inform the University of any relevant conditional cautions, criminal convictions or pending charges/investigations during their time as a student of the University. See our Applicant and Student Criminal Convictions Policy and Procedure and how to make a declaration.

Fitness to Practise Procedure

The Fitness to Practise Procedure relates to professional misconduct and/or professional unsuitability of students whose professions are regulated by Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies.

Personal Mitigating Circumstances (PMC)

If you have suffered from serious personal mitigating circumstances that are beyond your control and that have affected your ability to complete assessments, you can use the personal mitigating circumstances (PMC) form to advise the University of your circumstances.

Student Disciplinary Procedure

The Student Disciplinary Procedure is designed to allow the University to deal with allegations relating to student discipline or behaviour.

Student Pregnancy, Maternity, New Parenthood and Adoption Policy

We have a policy on supporting students who are going to become parents or who have recently become parents, or whose partners are expectant or new parents.

Support to Study Policy and Procedure

The Support to Study Policy and Procedure is used when there are persistent concerns for a student’s mental health.
